About Us

Our names are Laura and Josh Schoonover, along with our 2 sons Judah and James. We live in rural Duncan, Oklahoma. We met our first Ragdoll cat who was a rescue back in 2015. Her lovable disposition made quite the impression on us and we have been in love with Ragdolls ever since.

Josh and Laura

Our eldest son Judah is autistic. Ragdolls are one of the top picks as a companion for autistic people because they love to be held and be around their human companions. The reason for their name is when you pick them up, they turn into a rag doll – basically, they just go limp. Ragdolls make great indoor companions. They are affectionate, intelligent, not an aggressive breed, and great with children. For autistics with sensory sensitivities, a Ragdoll may be a better choice than a dog because they do not bark and aren’t as sensory overwhelming as a dog.

One of my son Judah’s favorite things to do is put his head very close to our Ragdolls when they are purring. He absolutely loves it when they purr and he is always trying to coax them into purring. He also loves to help feed and care for them. It makes him happy and calms him to pet our Ragdolls.

Judah

We deeply care for the autistic community and as our way to give back, with every kitten purchase a percentage of the profits will be added to a kitten donation fund. Once the fund has reached 100%, we will donate a Ragdoll kitten to an autistic adult. (This will be limited to people within a 3-hour driving radius of us, or you can travel to pick up.) If you are autistic or have an autistic loved one and would like your name added to the drawing for a free Ragdoll kitten, contact us or feel free to send a DM to our Instagram page. Keep an eye on our status bar located on the bottom of our page for updates to the kitten donation fund!

Our goal in breeding Ragdolls is to produce healthy, beautiful, loving cats who will make amazing companions for you to enjoy. Our goal is to make your experience with a Ragdoll as wonderful as ours has been. We hope you enjoy our site and we look forward to hearing from you!
